A fast enough shutter speed (1/2000 sec) allows you to freeze motion and in this case, see the wonderful shape of the wings and body shape of a blue tit just prior to entering a hole just over an inch in dimeter at very fast speeds. The blue tits are busily feeding their chicks with small caterpillars on an almost incessant basis so the opportunity was not to be missed. These in-flight shots were taken with a long lens well away from the nest box using a wireless remote to release the shutter.
