Here are further shots of red deer taken during the annual rut at Richmond Park. Lots of roaring and bellowing was evident however, I did not manage to observe any clashes.

I recently visited Richmond Park for the annual deer rut as I have done for the past few years. Unfortunately I did not witness any rutting and had to make do with lots of bellowing and a few chases, which was a bonus. I do enjoy the way in which the deer blend in with the long grass, it certainly makes way for some impressive pictures.

The following various shots which I could not quite fit into individual posts were taken during a recent trip to London. The shots include the Royal Opera Arcade, Scotland Yard and the St James Court hotel where we stayed overnight.

There are occasions when you look at a photograph and for whatever reason it just doesn’t appear right in colour. Consequently, I converted these shots to black and white, portraying a dark and moody atmosphere which I think adds far more impact.

What to do when travelling on the often tedious and unsociable London Underground? Take an inordinate amount of shots of basically nothing, perhaps?

Whilst having a spot of lunch in London, I decided to take a long exposure (1/6 sec) shot of London on the move. It is always useful of course, for added impact, when a couple of tourists pause to look at a map.
