Courting Great Crested Grebes

A few shots of a couple of great crested grebes carrying out their elaborate courtship dance.  It would have been ideal if the weather had been better and the grebes closer to shore however, this was the first time I had observed this behaviour.

Great Crested Grebe with catch!

I followed this great crested grebe for an hour whilst it was diving, fortunately my patience eventually paid off.  Taken at Wilstone reservoir near Tring, Hertfordshire.

Snow Bunting

A few shots of a Snow Bunting taken on Cairngorm mountain in Scotland.  The snow bunting is very scarce in the UK with only a few breeding pairs however, during winter they are joined by approximately 15,000 migrants.

A Model Cat

I don’t often take pictures of domestic cats however, I came across this cat whilst walking around the streets of York.   This little looker had leopard like spots and a lovely vibrant coat.

Cathédrale Notre Dame de Paris

Published this post six years ago today – hoping that something can be salvaged from this evenings disaster.

Notwithstanding the wonderful sights of Paris, this was my favourite landmark by far.  For those of you who have visited, what more can I say?  For those of you who have not, make sure it’s moved to the top of your ‘places to visit’ list.
