Female Kingfisher

I managed to spend an hour following this stunning female kingfisher along the Grand Union canal at Northchurch, Berkhamsted.  She only dived once during this time which was unsuccessful however, she was more than happy to provide plenty of photo opportunities.

RAF Tornado Flypast

Three RAF Tornado jets on a flypast over a very grey RAF Halton in Buckinghamshire.  Following 40 years of active service the Tornados are retiring and being replaced by the Typhoon and the F-35 Lightning.  To say the ambient lighting was poor is an understatement, a break in the clouds would have been great, but hey-ho!

Grey Heron

A few shots of a grey heron fishing in Bushy Park, London.  As you can see the heron was successful, albeit it had its back to me and my camera.
