Dragonflies

A few shots of Dragonflies, namely; common darter, common hawker and ruddy darter, all taken at Marsworth reservoir in Buckinghamshire.  Hand held with a Nikon D750 and Tamron 90mm macro lens.

Macro Mating

Here are a couple of shots of a pair of hoverflies mating.  I would have liked the shots to have had a better depth of field and sharper however, it was a fairly windy day and impossible to keep the plants still.

Damsel and Dragonflies

Here are a few shots of both damselflies and dragonflies taken at Claydon House a National Trust property in Buckinghamshire.  As per my previous post all were taken hand held due to the lack of tripod on the day.

Ladybirds

A few shots of ladybirds taken recently at Claydon House which is a National Trust property in Buckinghamshire.  All were taken hand held with my macro lens.

Common Caterpillar

Here are a few shots of what I understand is a common caterpillar taken with my somewhat underused Tamron 90mm macro lens.   An insect not often seen in my garden, it turned up late one evening so I grabbed the opportunity before it disappeared.
