Lily Was Here

Following my previous attempt with a tulip, I thought I would grab a lily and put my macro lens to work again. The fine details and intricate shapes within this flower, often  overlooked at a quick glance, are quite surprising.

Tulip

Thought I would kill some time the other evening and have an attempt at still life photography using a colourful bunch of tulips.  However, whilst setting up I inadvertently knocked over the vase, rendering most of my subjects unusable.   Left with only a couple of tulips it was a simple decision to try out my often-forgot macro lens.  The fruits of my labour are below.  My favourite is third from bottom; what do you think?
