I have been following a pair of Great Crested Grebes at Watermead Lake, Aylesbury for a few weeks since their chicks hatched only a few weeks ago (mid April). The Grebes are a stunning bird particularly during their courtship rituals. Their chicks are also incredibly cute and unique looking hence why they are also known as ‘Humbugs’ due to their close resemblance to the boiled sweet.
