A few shots of an Osprey fishing at Horn Mill trout farm near Oakham, Leicestershire. We had an early evening session in the hide and thought we were out of luck until the osprey paid a visit with only an hour left. Fortunately, the osprey made four dives in that final hour, each dive lasts only 8 seconds so there was a great deal of panic in trying to capture a sharp (ish) shot. On this occasion the osprey flew away from the hide but that’s wildlife photography for you. The osprey in question is 28 (10), a male osprey who fledged from Site B at Rutland water nature reserve in 2010.
