The Cairngorms is a truly stunning place and I highly recommend a visit. My shots were taken on a chilly but sunny day with all of the snow at high level. The scenes below include Cairngorm mountain near Aviemore, home to the best snow sports in Scotland, however, on the day there was little activity due to the lack of snow on the slopes. My plan to revisit the following day was put on hold due to an overnight 20cm fall of snow, which would no doubt have resulted in the imminent resumption of activities on the mountain.
