Bearded Tit

There has been an unusual visitor to Western Turville reservoir over the past 4 weeks or so, a lone colourful male bearded tit.  Trying to spot such a small bird in a large reservoir is never easy and the results below took several visits.  Eventually the bearded tit obliged and  I observed, albeit at distance over a period of 15 minutes or so.  I was of course willing him to come closer, however, this is the best I could get on the day and all despite using a 500mm lens.  That’s wildlife I suppose!
