Cathedral of St Andrew – Amalfi Town

For a relatively small town with few inhabitants it was a surprise to come across such a spectacular cathedral.  The 9th century cathedral is located in the Piazza del Duomo, Amalfi, Italy and is dedicated to the Apostle St Andrew.  Little did I know that he was not only the patron Saint of Scotland.  The cathedral complex consists of the basilica of the crucifix, the cloister of paradise and the crypt which houses the relics of St Andrew
