I was reviewing some of my previous shots and came across this one of a grey heron. I decided to convert it to black and white and have to say was very pleased with the result.

Beautiful shot. The grey heron is one of my favourite birds. If I were a Native American, it would be my totem!

I think they look pretty elegant in their element (still on a riverbank). But yes, I agree quite awkward looking when flying 🙂
