Grey Heron

Here are a few shots of a grey heron taken recently at Western Turville reservoir near Aylesbury.  Surprisingly, this little fella did not seem perturbed at all.

Grey Heron – Into Land

Here are a number of consecutive shots showing a grey heron coming into land in shallow waters at Broughton in Aylesbury.  Although graceful looking when on land, the heron is often described as a scruffy and awkward looking bird, much of which is documented here.
