Despite the many drawbacks of Covid, it was time for a short staycation in Cambridge. Sadly the University Colleges were closed to the public however, this did not detract from the overall experience. Fortunately the weather was clement enough for a leisurely punt on the river Cam and our chauffeur was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the colleges and their alumni. The city still retains a great atmosphere and whilst the sun is shining and the temperatures reasonable, is well worth a visit.
