Here are a couple of shots of a ring-necked parakeet taken at Broad Colney Lakes nature reserve in Hertfordshire. For once it was a pleasure to observe a parakeet feeding in relative silence as they are infamous for being very noisy.

Here are a few shots of Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, Oxfordshire which I recently visited for the very first time. I have only posted photos of the outside of the palace and its vast grounds as this is what I found to be the most impressive. With regard to the inside of the Palace I found it relatively disappointing and observed nothing different than what I have seen in lesser renowned properties (I will post some inside shots later and you can decide). However, the exhibition relating to one of our greatest, Sir Winston Churchill, was a highlight and a most interesting exhibit.
