Bateleur Eagle

Here are a few static shots of Captain, a bateleur eagle, taken during a photographic day at the Raptor Foundation in Cambridgeshire.  Closely related to the snake eagle, bateleur is French for ‘tightrope-walker’ which is probably down to its spectacular aerial aerobatics.
