Isle of Mull – American Mink

Whilst at Calgary beach, situated on the North West of Mull, I managed to sit down and relax for an hour and observe and photograph an American mink feeding its kits.  Originally brought to Scotland to be farmed for their fur (amazingly, 70 minks = 1 fur coat), these mink are either escapees, or were released by animal rights activists.

    But it seems Memorial Day wasn’t important enough to Google.
