Isle of Skye – Kilt Rock and the Fairy Pools

More shots from my memorable trip to the Isle of Skye, this time taking in Kilt Rock waterfall and the Fairy Pools.  Kilt Rock is a 200 ft high cliff situated on the east coast of Skye’s Trotternish Peninsula.  The rock formation has the appearance of pleats in a tartan kilt hence it’s name.  The Fairy Pools are located in the Cullins mountain range and are an impressive congregation of crystal clear streams, pools and waterfalls.  Although on the day the weather was pretty disappointing, it remains a must-see.
