Just prior to sunset, we came across three spotted hyenas who had an impala carcass and were happily devouring it. Hyenas are highly opportunistic scavengers so its probable that the impala was stolen from some wild dogs or perhaps a leopard. Light was fading fast and photography was challenging so it was time to allow them to enjoy their meal in peace.
