I have been waiting patiently to photograph the waxwing which have been migrating from Scandinavia in their thousands this winter. I eventually had the opportunity last Sunday albeit on a very wet and dismal day. This waxwing posed quite happily for me despite being at relatively close quarters in Bletchley, Milton Keynes.

Thanks Spanishwoods, I only wish they were resident but mind you I suppose it is more exciting when they occasionally migrate to our shores.
