Here are a few shots of the ever so stunning mandarin ducks taken at the Wendover arm of the Grand Union Canal. I am still of the opinion that in years past, someone, somewhere, chose the most colourful and intricate feathers and patched them together to produce this explosion of colour.

These are the most beautiful ducks. I only wish I can find them in our area.
