Early Spring at Teddington Lock

It’s surprising what wildlife there is to find at Teddington Lock when you consider that it is actually an urban area.  Not really intending to use my camera to photograaph herons, wild parakeets and so on (a social engagement was the reason I was in the area), I only had my 18-55mm and 70-300mm lenses and even forgot to pack my lens hoods and filters.  Which is a pity really because I belive the pictures could have been even better; there’s only so much editing you can do on your PC.  Another lesson learnt here – be more organised John!Great Crested Grebe
